Our temple sealing day was the most amazing day! The spirit that was in the temple was so strong. When Shawn asked me to marry him over a year earlier I was so hard headed when it came to being married in the temple. That is the ONLY way to do it! But, we received counsel from our Stake President saying it could take many months and even up to a year or more to get cancellations and sealing clearances. I was heart broken. Above all, I needed to be an example to my kids that getting married in the temple is the only way to do it. After much prayer, Shawn and I knew that we needed to get married and sealed after clearance came. The blessing in this was that I was so mentally and spiritually prepared for our sealing day, because I had looked forward to it for so long. We were sealed exactly one year from the day that we were married. I cried the entire time that the sealer was talking to us, because more than anything I was so excited to be this mans eternal companion. He is truely my knight in shining armor, my soul mate, and best friend!
